Covers and sunshine south of the equator
Just as I am packing up to head to South America to shoot a UCI sanctioned urban downhill race in a unesco world heritage site, I get word that another of my shots from 2007 has made a cover.
Greg Minnaar was pinning it at Mont Ste Anne during the only North American World Cup round last year. It turned out to be the last year of the phenomenal Honda team, so lots of interest in his future plans.
Back to South America. I covered this same event last year as the media liaison to North America, and it was an absolute blast. Tons of Chilean hospitality, cheap beer and hot sunshine. The race overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is in a super historic town. This year I have arranged for some good friends to come down with me, so good times will be had by all.
