FRASER BRITTON PHOTOGRAPHY

Long year!

A very long MTB season is now over. Just over 100 000 airmiles flown, events on 3 continents and lots of great shots taken. Travel started in Chile in February and finally ended with the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas at the end of September.

I had a great time this year shooting & producing for Freecaster.tv and being an integral part of bringing live TV back to World Cup Mountain Bike racing! I went to them with an idea, a pipe dream, in November, and by March we had a budget hammered out ad plane tickets, rental cars and hotels booked. By the first World Cup in Maribor, Slovenia in May, we were live. Tv had returned! It was a learning experience, having worked only in Radio previously, but I was given a crash course in video and video editing (thanks Aaron) and am now fairly fluent in "the dark side" as photographers like to call TV work.

Besides the Freecaster work, I focused on a few major clients, namely Monster Energy and Iron Horse Bikes. I picked up a few new clients, and happily did lots of work with one of action sports trend setters, Troy Lee Designs.

I did manage to sneak in some editorial work along the way however, and grabbed a couple of covers, so that's always nice. Tear sheets to come. Needless to say, it has been a long season, but I am pretty stoked on how everything worked out. More to come as I am now on vacation for a few weeks and will have a bit more time to catch up on things here!
